Most people don’t have too much trouble talking one-on-one, but speaking to a group can be more challenging.  When I joined Toastmasters several years ago, it was just so my home-schooled teenage son could practice giving a few speeches.  He wasn’t old enough to join, but the friendly (and very clever!) club president told me my son could participate as long as I joined.

I still remember my first speech.  I looked confident, but my knees were shaking behind the lectern.  I blanked out for part of my speech.  The best part of my speech was when I could finally sit down!

Over time, with practice, feedback, seminars, books and more, my skills and confidence grew.  In 2009 I started speaking professionally.  Diane’s professional speaking website:  Small Talk Big Results.

Enough about me.  What about you?  Do you want to communicate with good results?  Do you want to look and feel confident when you speak?  Do you want to engage your audience?  Do you want to persuade others to accept your ideas, your products, your services?  Do you want to be polished, yet authentic?

I hope you answered “yes” to all of the above.  You don’t have to be a professional speaker to be engaging and get your point across, you just need to be intentional in developing your content and mindful of your delivery.

I want to help you do just that.  How I help you depends on what you want and need. I can coach you in-person if you live near the Minneapolis-Saint Paul, Minnesota metro, or I can coach you via video, email, Skype, etc.  Seminars and webinars will also be offered.  I’ll have free tips on this website and in my weekly “Talking Points” Newsletter (I promise short and useful tips).  Sign up now so you don’t miss out!
